Merchant cash advance debt in Utah

What Utah publishes about UCC filings and commercial financing, and how to check your own record. Informational only, not legal advice.

Your UCC record in Utah

Funders file a UCC-1 financing statement with the Utah Division of Corporations and Commercial Code UCC Search to put other creditors on notice. Search it by your exact legal business name. Lien position: a UCC filing names a secured party, not who gets paid first.

Levraq does not read the Utah registry yet, so your report will not list Utah filings. The Debt Check still measures your remittance ratio, stacking and tier from your own answers.

Commercial financing disclosure in Utah

Utah Code Title 7, Chapter 27, Commercial Financing Registration and Disclosure Act, effective 2022-05-04, with registration required from 2023-01-01: A provider of commercial financing, including purchases of future receipts (how the statute classifies MCAs), must register annually with the Department of Financial Institutions and disclose before consummation the total funds provided, funds disbursed, total to be paid, total dollar cost, payment manner, frequency and amount, and prepayment costs or discounts. Threshold stated in the statute: transactions over $1,000,000 are exempt (§7-27-102(11)). Source, checked 2026-11-04.

Confession of judgment in Utah

Levraq has not recorded a Utah statute on confessions of judgment in commercial contracts. Whether a confession of judgment in an MCA contract can be entered against a Utah business is a question for a lawyer licensed there.

Work the numbers

Two calculators that need nothing from any registry: the annualized cost of an advance, and the share of revenue going to remittances. The Debt Check combines both with what you report.

The cash you actually received.

On the contract, e.g. 1.35 means you repay $1.35 per $1.

UCC coverage is five states (CT, CO, OR, FL, CA) plus SEC filers; no match is not proof of no filing. Informational only, not legal or financial advice. Levraq is a diagnostic and referral service, not a lender, law firm or debt-settlement company. See about.
