Merchant cash advance debt in Florida

What Florida publishes about UCC filings and commercial financing, and how to check your own record. Informational only, not legal advice.

Your UCC record in Florida

Funders file a UCC-1 financing statement with the Florida Secured Transaction Registry to put other creditors on notice. Search it by your exact legal business name. Lien position: a UCC filing names a secured party, not who gets paid first.

Levraq reads this registry: 1,192 filings naming a known MCA funder are on record, last read 2026-11-04. This is one state's registry, not national coverage. A matching filing shows on your Debt Pressure Report; no match is not proof that nothing was filed.

Commercial financing disclosure in Florida

Florida Statutes §§559.961–559.9615 (Florida Commercial Financing Disclosure Law, ch. 2023-290), effective transactions consummated on or after 2024-01-01: A provider must disclose at or before consummation the total funds provided, funds disbursed if less, total to be paid, total dollar cost, payment manner, frequency and amount, and any prepayment costs or discounts; the Attorney General enforces it. Threshold stated in the statute: transactions over $500,000 are exempt (§559.9612(7)). Source, checked 2026-11-04.

Confession of judgment in Florida

Florida Statutes §55.05: all powers of attorney for confessing or suffering judgment to pass by default or otherwise are null and void. Source, checked 2026-11-04.

Work the numbers

Two calculators that need nothing from any registry: the annualized cost of an advance, and the share of revenue going to remittances. The Debt Check combines both with what you report.

The cash you actually received.

On the contract, e.g. 1.35 means you repay $1.35 per $1.

UCC coverage is five states (CT, CO, OR, FL, CA) plus SEC filers; no match is not proof of no filing. Informational only, not legal or financial advice. Levraq is a diagnostic and referral service, not a lender, law firm or debt-settlement company. See about.
